Introduction
A manufacturing company needed a modern and innovative system to improve monitoring and management of its production plant. The main goal was to achieve a 3D overview of the plant, promptly identify machine blockages, and quickly and efficiently report failures. We developed a Digital Twin platform that perfectly meets these needs, improving operational visibility and facilitating problem resolution.
Challenge
The company faced several critical issues related to plant management:
Complete supervision: Need to visualize the entire production plant in a detailed 3D environment for more intuitive and comprehensive management.
Real-time reporting: Automatically identify and report machine blockages and failures, reducing downtime and improving responsiveness.
Fast and efficient communication: Facilitate failure reporting through audio, text, or multiple-choice options and ensure direct and instant communication between operators and supervisors.
These challenges required a solution that integrated advanced monitoring capabilities with clear and simple communication tools.
Solution
We developed a custom Digital Twin platform for the company, including several features that significantly improved the management and maintenance of the plant:
3D visualization of the plant: The platform allows detailed visualization of all machines and ongoing operations, providing a real-time overview of the entire production plant.
Reporting of machine blockages: The system automatically detects machine blockages, immediately notifying operators to enable rapid problem resolution and minimize downtime.
Multi-channel failure reporting: Users can report failures through three modes: voice audio, text, or multiple-choice options, ensuring precise and versatile communication.
Integrated chat with the supervisor: A real-time chat allows operators to communicate immediately with supervisors, enabling effective coordination during critical moments and quicker problem resolution.
Flexible user role management: Each user has access exclusively to data and functions relevant to their role, ensuring secure and personalized operation management.
Real-time updates: The platform provides constant updates on the operational conditions of the plant, allowing operators to intervene quickly in case of failures or anomalies.
